Seat Burglars

When someone buys an assigned seat for a flight, show, concert, movie, etc., they should never have to haggle, negotiate, argue or even speak with someone sitting in their seat…because there should never BE someone sitting in their seat. This moronic yet common practice of saying, “I’ll just sit here until someone arrives and asks for their seat,” or, “If they show up, I’ll move,” is rude, inconsiderate and downright childish.
Is that your seat? No? THEN DON’T SIT THERE. Stop expecting the rest of humanity to be your mommy.
Sure, it can be tempting. But like snagging cash from a tip jar or creating a dinner buffet at the Trader Joe’s sample counter, this is one of those things that non-assholes just don’t do. It's not somebody else's responsibility to remind you not to act like an entitled prick.
If it’s not your car, don’t drive it. Not your burger, don’t eat it. Not your seat, keep your ass out of it.
Speaking of needing to learn restraint...
